Kelly Brook: All Natural

UK model and fashion designer Kelly Brook has been quoted as saying,”I have never wanted surgery and doubt I will. I would like to grow old gracefully.”. If that’s not a plastic surgery denial, then we don’t know what is, but it’s the rare denial that we actually believe. Kelly Brook and her 32E bra have long been the subject of breast augmentation rumors, but we’re confident that those rumors aren’t true. Not because we believe every starlet that says they haven’t had work done (they’re usually lying), but because her full figure and natural curves make it entirely possible that her breasts are naturally that big. Also, the shape of them, which isn’t the perfectly-round shape that most fake breasts have, and the way that they hang are indicative of a natural bust-line. With all that said, we’re going to give Kelly Brook our rarely given “100 percent real” stamp of approval, although time will tell if she really chooses to age naturally, or if she ends up going under the knife someday.

Lea Michele Said “No” To New Nose

Everyone knows Lea Michele for her role as ‘Rachel Berry on ‘Glee; a role that shows off her ability to play a character seven years her junior, her big voice, and her not too small (but don’t get us wrong, very cute) nose. The same nose cost her some work in her younger days, as Michele recently recalled in an interview a time when potential managers and casting directors would tell her that they wouldn’t work with her unless she got a nose job (rhinoplasty). Michele actually considered it for a bit, as she was, like most young starlets, was eager to please and very impressionable. However, her mother refused to allow her to go under the knife for plastic surgery, citing how one of Lea’s heros, Barbara Streisand, never had work done on her beak and still went on to become a legend. Obviously, Michele listened to her mother and has grown into her features nicely, and with roles on Broadway and in films like New Years Eve, she’s probably made some people in show biz feel pretty dumb.

Amanda Seyfried Talks About Plastic Surgery

Amanda Seyfried, star of In Time, Red Riding Hood, Gone, The Big Wedding, Dear John, and Letters To Juliet, is currently one of Hollywood’s latest “it girls”. She attained this sought after, albeit dangerous (“it girls” sometimes fade away quicker than actresses that build up careers slowly) position through her skill as an actress, and her stunning good looks; but did she have the help of a plastic surgeon? Well it doesn’t look like it, she appears to be all natural, but she recently admitted that’s she’s considered plastic surgery in the past. The starlet recently admitted that she’s considered getting a nose job (rhinoplasty), and a some skin work done, but that she has chosen to let herself age gracefully instead. In regards to current plastic surgery trends, she said, ”All the people with all their money, they spend all their time shooting things in their faces and doing stuff that probably isn’t good for you, just to look a certain way. It’s like, we’re troubled.”. Seyfried still hasn’t ruled out surgery in future though, and has said she may reconsider it when she’s in her thirties.

Madchen Amick: Twin Peaks Star Looks Good To Us

Madchen Amick is best known to audiences as “Shelly Johnson” on the cult classic television series Twin Peaks, but she’s most recently been seen making guest appearances on shows like Psyche and CSI:NY. After her big role in the early 90s, many people believe that Madchen got plastic surgery to combat the affects of aging and keep herself getting roles. Rumors have circulated that she’s gotten a nose job (rhinoplasty), eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), and fillers like Botox and Restyline. However, we here at Celebrity Plastic Surgery think she didn’t have much done other than possibly some injectables. Her skin looks pretty smooth and wrinkle free, and her lips look a bit more plump, but everything else just kind of seems like the effects of aging and a different application of her makeup. We could be wrong, but we think people are jumping to conclusions, and while we obviously agree that a lot of celebrities go under the knife; we think that people sometimes make bold assumptions in regards to differences in looks that are just the product of age and upkeep.

Courtney Stodden: Teen Bride A “Natural” Beauty?

A few months back, everyone was up in arms when news came out that semi-famous actor Doug Hutchison, who is 51 years old, had married his 16 year old girlfriend Courtney Stodden. Everyone freaked out even more when they got a look at the aspiring teenage “singer/actress” (Why the quotes? Look up some of her work and then try to call her either one without doing air quotes) and her very mature looks. Immediately, rumors began to fly around tabloids that, as Hutchison put it, “… she’s a Barbie doll, fake boobs, fake lips, fake nose, fake hair…” Of course, these accusations led to plastic surgeons taking a look at the young bride, and almost all of them came to the same conclusion: She’s for real. She may seem like a crazy person (or more accurately, a teenager trying to act like a sultry grown-up), but it appears that she was just…well Hutchison put it best when he said, “…God was her only plastic surgeon.”  So she’s real, but is their marriage? Wait, we don’t care ’cause we’re a plastic surgery site…phew, dodged a bullet there; almost had to be topical.

Whoopi Says Weed, Not Surgery, to Be Happy

“The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg had a breast reduction in 1995. While we always hear about celebrities have breast augmentations to reconfigure their figure, a little less can serve the same purpose. Plastic surgeons say the procedure helps to shape and contour breasts so they are more proportionate to the body. Goldberg, who won a best supporting actress honor for her role in “Ghost,” is not the only actress to opt for breast reduction surgery. Janeane Garofalo, Drew Barrymore, Denise Richards and Queen Latifah have decreased their racks. As for other surgical procedures, Goldberg has openly discussed her disdain for cosmetic surgery. As host of the 2002 Oscars, Goldberg said she would prefer to allow the ageing process to take shape, noting that Hollywood would have to accept her as she is. If she ain’t dabbling in plastic surgery, she might be dabbling in something else. The National Enquirer recently reported that Barbara Walters is not happy with Whoopi’s public endorsement of legalizing marijuana, especially on “The View.” Remember, Whoopi said she was high as a kite with she accepted her Oscar for “Ghost” back in 1990. I knew she was happy for winning, but she was WAY too happy.

All Natural Viola Davis

It is nice to see an actress of color who is has not gone under the knife to halt aging or change an ethnic quality. Viola Davis, who has proven her talent by earning Academy and Golden Globe award nominations, is a natural beauty and has many plastic surgeons in agreement that Davis has not dappled with plastic surgery. There is nothing artificial about the actress, who, in 2001, won a Tony Award for her portrayal in King Hedley II. Her nose is full with rhino-style nostrils. Davis’ nose lacks the downward-pointing tip that is evident with actresses of color with nose jobs. She even has a smile that exposes most of her gums. An analysis of Davis’ pictures shows the only thing she has changed is her hairstyle. If weave is the only major adjustment, that is not a problem for me. While some plastic surgeons endorse surgery or Botox injections to aid beauty, it is rewarding to see some actresses prefer good-ole makeup. Praise to Viola for keeping it real!
