Copacabana singer Barry Manilow has landed in the hospital to have his hip muscle repaired. Barry is now the ripe’ol age of 68 and all that hip shaking over his long career has taken its toll. Mr. Manilow is no stranger to going under the knife. He’s had numerous cosmetic procedures over the years. Between a few face lifts, an eye lift, cheek lifts, and lots of Botox he hardly looks like himself these days.Barry just completed his 1,000th show in Sin City Las Vegas. We wish Barry a speedy and hopefully a plastic free recovery.
Ugh, just when we though we were finally done with Kate Plus 8′s Kate Gosselin and all of her plastic surgery antics, she’s back in the news again. The consistent contender for “worst mother ever” recently showed up at some event (we’re really not sure who invites her to things at this point) looking younger, wider eyed, and very shiny; prompting her critics to say that she’s had a face lift. Well, apparently she didn’t, because she took to her blog to refute the claims that’s she had even more plastic surgery; she’s already admitted to a tummy tuck, a breast augmentation, and Botox injections. She also wanted to tell everyone how flattered she is that they’d think she looks like she’s had more work done…we of course think that she’s lying. No one looks that shiny unless they’re a 13 year old working at a fast food joint, or they’ve had work done. We’re not sure if she went and got the full face lift, but she’s at least had a lot more Botox injected into her face. We’d like to think that this si the last we’re going to hear from her, but like all horror movie villains, she just keeps coming back.
Years from now, if you remember the name Nicolette Taylor at all, it will be as the face of a ridiculous, yet ever-growing trend: teenage plastic surgery. No, not 18 and 19 year olds getting boob jobs, that happens all the time and there wouldn’t be a swimsuit modeling industry without it, we’re talking about kids in middle-school going under the knife. Taylor, a 13 year old from Long Island, NY, recently got a nose job (rhinoplasty) to drastically change the size and shape of her nose; she says it was to stop her from getting bullied at school and online. Apparently, she’s not alone, as 90,000 surgeries were performed on teenagers last year for the same reason. We’re not even sure what to say right now; there’s a line in this whole cyber- bullying thing, and society is crossing it. Picking on kids is wrong, but has always happened; getting plastic surgery before you’re even done growing up though, that’s a bit drastic. We also couldn’t help but notice that young Nicolette has a youtube channel where she posts ridiculous videos of her singing and dancing; a fact that kind of makes us wonder whether she was really getting picked on that bad, or if she just likes attention.
KISS frontman Gene Simmons, who at the ripe old age of 62, has finally taken the plunge into holy bliss and married his 54 year old girlfriend Shannon Tweed, the mother of his two adult children. With 400 close family and friends looking on, Gene said I do to a cheering crowd. The ceremony took place in Los Angeles this past Saturday, October 1st. Of course a film crew was present to shoot the event for Gene’s reality TV show. Paul Stanley, Gene’s partner in KISS was in the wedding party. Stanley toasted Gene and wished him all the happiness he himself has found in his own marriage. It’s not exactly like Gene doesn’t know Shannon very well; they have been living together for 28 years. The new husband and wife are no strangers to plastic surgery; each has had quite a bit. Gene and Shannon actually underwent procedures together a few of years back and then aired the procedures on his hit reality show, Gene Simmons Family Jewels. Gene had a full facelift and showed the world his bruised and heavily swollen face after the surgery. It wasn’t Gene’s first time under the knife either. Back in the 80′s when Gene got the acting bug he had a nose job to shave down his ‘ethnic’ looking appearance. It’s also widely rumored he has had a hair transplant. Does anyone think that thing on Gene’s head could be natural? I don’t think so. Shannon has been visiting the plastic surgeon for years. A former playmate, Shannon has had her boobs done, a facelift, her lips filled, and it looks like she has regularly scheduled Botox appointments. We here at CelebrityPlasticSurgery.tv wanted to wish the new bride a groom all the happiness in their plastic and Botox filled marriage.

We will admit getting older in Hollywood aint easy, especially if you are a woman. When your youthful looks become a video rental memory, the roles quickly start to dry up. Add some awful plastic surgery into the equation and you have one Melanie Griffifth. Well needless to say her career went from hot to in the toilet in the blink of an eye lift. It did not help matters when Melanie started paying regular visits to the plastic surgeon. That turned out to be a really bad decision. Well that’s all about to change. Melanie is starring in two new movies scheduled for release in 2012. Can she pull off a Mickey Rourke like comeback and overcome a face that has clearly been changed and rearranged a few times? She’ll have to give the performance a lifetime if people are going to get past her awful plastic surgery. Does Melanie have any new procedures planned for her new screen appearances? Only time will tell.

In a move that’s somewhat rare amongst the celebrity sect, reports have come in that singer turned fashion designer Jessica Simpson is strongly considering getting a breast reduction before her wedding. We’ve reported in the past on her possible nose job (rhinoplasty), chin job, and breast lift, but this surgery seems like one she will do nothing to deny. In fact, it seems that Simpson’s press machine will use the surgery for positive press. She already got most of the “positive body image” people on her side when she said, “I was the first girl in my class to wear a bra. I remember crying in the bathtub. All my friends were super-skinny.”. We don’t know folks, it’s kind of hard to have sympathy for a girl that’s already had a bunch of work done(check out the pics below to see how many times her cup size already seems to have changed) and gotten mega-rich and mega-famous without being all that talented; but hey, if she’s getting back-aches and such, she might as well drop a cup size, good luck Jess.  
OK here is something different. Where else but in Beverly Hills would you be able to buy a gift card for plastic surgery? Nowhere else, that’s where. Beverly Hills is the capitol of the plastic surgery universe, the Mecca of silicone success and excess. So it’s only natural, well not really, but hey, why not? Now you can get the gift that injects you full of Botox happiness. It works like any other gift card. You fork over your cash and you get a plastic gift card which is good for some plastic fillers, tummy tucks, a breast augmentation or whatever. Sounds great right? While we agree this is an unusual gift, we’re sure there are plenty of people who would gladly accept it.
With the recent cancellation of her show Audrina, former The Hills star Audrina Patridge recently sat down for an interview where she not only talked about the failure of her self-titled reality program, but also about all of the plastic surgery rumors that surround her. For years, she’s faced rumors that she’s had a breast augmentation; rumors which are very obviously true (nobody’s breasts grow like that). However, she’s also been the subject of rumors about her eyes and lips, rumors she denies…and blames on Heidi Montag’s plastic surgery addiction. In fact, she was quoted as saying, “They always ask me about that because of Heidi and there’s all these rumors and they all say I’ve had, like, six procedures, and I’m, like, ‘Where do you get that? ‘. Look at the pictures. I fluctuate in weight a lot. And as far as my face, I’d never had anything done.”. So what do we think? Like we said, the boob job is obvious, but her lips could just be her weight, and the change in the alignment of her eyes could have been a prism treatment or some other non-invasive procedure. We can’t say for sure either way, but we wish Audrina the best of luck in her post-reality television career.   
Most woman wouldn’t be caught dead in a bikini only a couple of months after giving birth. Not Kate Hudson. She just gave birth to a new baby boy and you would never know it by these pictures. Did Kate have a liposuction procedure? We doubt it. It’s more likely she has great genes, exercises and eats right. Kate was photographed on vacation in France with her fiancé, Matthew Bellamy of the rock band Muse. She gave birth to her second child, named Bingham on July 9. She has an older son Ryder with rock star Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes. Kate has an incredible body for a woman who just had a baby, and she won’t need a boob job since she took care of that last year.

Well known for her acting and bad plastic surgery Actress Daryl Hannah is heading for the slammer today. Hannah was part of a peaceful sit down protest in front of the White House. The group was protesting a planned oil pipeline from Canada to the US Gulf Coast. Hannah refused to move and was arrested.
This isn’t the first time the actresses has been to jail. Back in June of 2009 Hannah was arrested with 31 others for protesting against mountaintop removal mining. Another incident back in 2006 lead police to pull Hannah away from a tree. Apparently she thought that would help stop the demolition of a community farm she was protesting to save.
Hannah has often been in the spotlight for both her political views and her plastic surgery decisions.
