Could Octavia Spencer, the multi-award winning star of The Help be heading for the plastic-surgeon’s office in the near future? Some comments she made recently at The Golden Globes are surely going to lead to speculation. Spencer, who’s also appeared in things like Ugly Betty and Seven Pounds remarked that she’s “not healthy at this weight”, and that ”Any time you have too much around the middle, then there is a problem.” and “when you reach a certain weight, you are less valuable.”. Sounds pretty clear to us that Octavia Spencer wants to take some pounds off, but will she resort to liposuction or a tummy tuck? Or will she go for something less cosmetic, like lap-band surgery? Personally, we think that the kind of woman tough enough to cut her teeth all these years waiting for her break is the same kind of woman that’s going to just put herself on a diet and exercise plan and stick too it. If anything, we could see her maybe going the lap-band route because she claims to love to eat so much, but we’re pretty sure that she won’t be adding “tuck” or “suck” to her vocabulary any time soon. Whatever she decides to do, if it puts her immense talent in front of the camera more often, then we’re all for it because Octavia Spencer is a star!
