Kate Winslett Really Hates Plastic Surgery

Kate Winslett thinks that plastic surgery is immoral…wow, overstate much? The Academy Award, Emmy Award, and Grammy Award winning actress (the Grammy obviously wasn’t for acting, it was for a spoken word thingy) recently went on record stating that plastic surgery and/or dermal injections go against her morals and asking women around the world to sign a pledge to not go under the knife or beneath the needle. To gain more support for her cause, she’s starting a sort of “Anti-Plastic Surgery League”, and has enlisted fellow Academy Award winners Rachel Weisz, who once said that Botox should be made illegal in the acting community (she likened it to athletes using steroids and said that Botox changes your face and acting is all about expressions…we suspect that she doesn’t fully grasp how steroids work); and Emma Thompson, who said, “”I’m not fiddling about with myself. We’re in this awful youth-driven thing now where everybody needs to look 30 at 60.”. So long story short, three naturally gorgeous really rich women who can afford stylists, trainers, nutritionists, spa treatments and who live semi-stress-free lives are telling everyone else that it’s wrong to get cosmetic surgery. Listen, it’s one thing to disagree, but it’s each individual’s choice how they go about self improvement, so let’s leave the word “moral” out of all this and just stick to agreeing or disagreeing.
