We looked it up, and the tenth sign of the apocalypes is “feminist pioneer gets cosmetic surgery”, so we might all be up the river folks. In a recent interview, Gloria Steinem, best known as a massive contributor to the Women’s Liberation Movement, admitted to getting a blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) a few years ago. She got it during a stint on The Today Show, and said it was done so, ‘’I didn’t look like Mao Tse-tung and I could wear my contacts.’’; those sound like perfectly normal reasons to get plastic surgery. Steinem now says that she regrets getting the surgery; she didn’t like the results,  and hates the message about confidence that it puts forth. We don’t really agree, we think that if you want surgery, get it, but beware the consequences; it doesn’t mean you’re not confident, it just means you want change. However, Gloria Steinem is way more inteligent than us, so she might be right.
